Hi All,
Just run up a new motor. we have dramatically increased the compression.
But the headers got mega hot,
We think its a detonation problem
Its running on BP ultimate so the only other option is to retard the ignition.
Does anyone do an adjustable timing disc or recommend an adjustable ignition ?

Why not run it on Avgas?

Isnt that expensive ?

... and not legal at the clubs that I know about? In the racing thread, so assume you plan to race it.

It is legal as long as you pay the duty, if you read the regs book, you are allowed to run petrol mixtures upto 102 RON. and avgas these days is all 100LL which is 100 RON Low Lead.
