This is my first post on this forum, can anyone help me with the correct gearing for aintree as I have not been there before and believe the back straight is fast. im thinking 14/46? on a standard box.

nah mate, you want a 15/44 to 15/46 depending on engine tune and rev limit.
I run a 15/45 there with a tuned motor and sp cdi, but could probs do with a 44.
its a great little track mate..and cheap!

alrite jake how goes it mate, what do you run at anglesey then? i was running 14/47 that why i thought 14/46....

I work it one up at the front from anglesey/oulton. I was on 15/48( same as 14/45 thereabouts) up at anglesey mate. Just put a 15 on the front for practice, and take a 45/46 with ya in case its short.
Still gutted about anglesey, havent fixed me bike yet, but only a bent bit here and there.
gonna sell it soon and get an L built

shouldnt take you to long to fix her up, was only cosmetic wasnt it? how come you want to get an l model? I was thinking about building a H so i can enter two races. dont you run a sp box any more?

aye, bent clipon,footrest ,crashbung and paddockstand bobbin.. not a mark on the bodywork!
Nah sold the sp box to some dude at aintree, just could'nt get my head around it and went thru one clutch to many!
I just fancy giving the L a go, see if it holds a tighter line to stop black/green zxr's going up the inside
Ive got most bits anyhow, and they are a bit lighter than the H

Jake, you only had a black/green bike go up the inside because some ba******d on an orange/black bike pushed you wide!!!

im out this weekend with NG at Cadwell sat/sun meeting, then Thruxton with NG on th 20th june so cant afford this aintree meeting (did think about it), would be interested if there is one later in the season?

lol, that was really good racing that lads, there was four of us all fighting for the same possition. get some money spent ben and come along to aintree mate. have you sent you regs off yet jake? i havnt had mine through yet only joined the club on saturday. leave everythink till last minute... shame i cant be the same on the brakes haha

I think Gaz did good first time there in all. I carried on my form from anglesey mate.
broke down in practice with a melted loom from a knackered coil, fixed it, then had a stupid crash after 1 lap... Im either due some good luck, or need to learn how to ride properly

I had a bit of your luck at Cadwell, Good quailifing race and then fell off on 1st lap of next race, weekend over.
