Good Morning,
I've got a ZXR750J1 1991 bike that I've been trying to get running. I've pulled apart and cleaned the carbs but there is a missing pilot idle mixture screw in one of the carbs. Would this be the reason I can't get the bike to idle at all? I can get the bike wanting to run with a squirt of fuel. And does anyone know where I can buy replacements for this specific screw as I can't seem to find it.

Yes it won't run without that part... Have you tried a Kawasaki dealer?

Thanks for the reply. I couldn’t find a direct replacement but I used the same part off a zx11r (which I believe has the 40mm Keihin) and still not idling so I guess it’s something else

Could be blocked idle jets, have you pulled them to look through them?
