Why? Its just a few extra lengths of wire from the original coil connection spades to the new coils.

Make sure that the stick coils come with the original zx6r connector wiring and the only cost will be a few spade connectors, a bit of solder and patience - simples

I'm pretty sure it will, because it's standard on the c model 9r's and onwards.

Just to bring this to the forefront again:

CBR600RR 07~09 ones fit a treat and the top's are really low too !

I'm going to check and see if the connectors are a separate loom in themselves , otherwise I will be making my own patch lead and you'll see them hooked up soon

Which is a bit of a bugger as I got some blingin HT leads and caps with earth braids on them

Shoved them into the J2 engine out on the veranda to show you the fit - when I come to fit proper they will get a small smear of silicone grease around the top seal as they fit really snug.

Going to try look up the microfiche tonight and see if that part of the loom is separate for a nicer install

they look perfect for that!

Went in an ordered up the sub loom with the right plugs for them - 4,020 Yen so not so painful ! Chopping the perfectly good connection for powering them up will be though

The stick coils themselves aren't expensive either (well I reckon) at 3,940 Yen each (about £26.45) compared to ZX10-R ones at 9,135 yen each (about £61.30). Also the ZX doesn't have a separate loom for the coils and is part of the main harness.

Loom will arrive tomorrow so you just never know I might get them lashed on by late afternoon

The earlier CBR also uses them (05~06) but part number is different - they did look much the same on the microfiche though.

Don't see why not, all the engines are the same externally and plug well same depth.

Its really straight forward if you forward the wiring diagram on the first page.

All mine were done with a zx6r and a zx12r loom, which has the seperate plug for the harness, you just peel back the tape and the plastic heat sheilding, and re-wire it as per the diagram on page 1.

If you want to do it nice and neat you can also create the spade connections to hook up to teh zxr coils. If you get the entire harness and someone has chopped it on the other side of the connector, you could even wire up teh zxr coil connections into the connector block.

Mori man, you had the bike running with it yet and been out for a blast? This really improved my zxr's cold starting and hot starting and the engine feels that bit crisper, although that could of just been my imagination. I sold the bike that this conversion was on, but the project bike is waiting to still be fired up with this mod!

I was wrong. The wiring did not cost more. I picked up a non-weather sealed connector at Radio Shack and proceeded to Dielectric grease the hell out of it. I left some length in the wires to make removal easier and to give a little for vibration.
