well lads ive a 92 zxr400 l. it idles perfect and runs sweet up top end of the revs but when acceelerating or moving off from lights its got a realy bad spluttery spot in around the 2-3k rpm range. i can slowly nurse it past this point but if i open up the throttle it just blaaaaaarghs and dies.
im not too sure if this is a carburation issue or electrical.
the plugs are new, standard air filter also new. new fuel filter. ive stripped and cleaned out the carbs twice, jets wernt dirty at all, also balanced the carbs and adjusted the air screws.
at this point im thinking it could be a coil problem but has anyone else had similar issues??

Try adding a little choke and see if it's better or worse, and is it better when hot or cold?

Got it sorted in the end, was running too rich so adjusted the carb needles. It's spot on now!
