Hi all!

I desperately need a set of mounting brackets for both sides of my H1.

Both snapped now and I cant seem to source them from ebay.

Any similar ones from other bikes? as original kawasaki doesn't stock them any more for the H2 model.... I'm stumped!

or is it a waiting game on ebay/breakers?

thanks,

Ben

bit of a steep price, but give them a low offer and see what they say.

one bracket should be enough to hold it correctly whilst you temporarily cable tie the other in place...

Thats the one I have made an offer on recently :)

where do you say to cable tie it as I cant see what would be good. Surely the rad will get hot and possible melt the cable tie?

Cable ties survive the heat of a radiator very nicely.

I've made my own rad brackets for my L using some ally tubing I got in B&Q

most cable ties will melt at 185-190C...your rad wont get that high, and they have a "working" temperature of up to 85C, all that means is that after this they can start to get a little more flexible than normal, but if your rad is working much over 110C you are starting to run pretty damn hot and a soft-er cable tie is the least of your worries.

cable ties can be boiled and are perfectly fine to re-use afterwards...if you boil white cable ties with a coloured fabric dye you can make your own custom cable tie colours and they are just as strong as before.

cable ties are primarily nylon, so you can use the properties of that to gauge their use/suitability.
