camshaft cap. need help!!

my first valves adjustment on my first zxr400h1 ended with chiped camshaft #2!! dont know where to find it. please help me!!

do you mean you were doing the valve clearances and broke it? if so, you dont need to remove the cam caps or the camshafts to do your valve clearances.

if you mean you have lost that bit that has broken off, have a good look aorund for it, but be prepared to have lost it down an oil drain port...in that case, hope and pray that it settles to the bottom of the sump and you find it after draining the oil...ps, dont fire up the engine if you think its floating about in the guts somewhere...

i think the cam cap will still be usable...but for a definite answer someone with more experience than me will be necessary.

Thanks. I have faund mising piece. Now is another question: where to get replacement part? If anybody have for sale or know where to buy please let me know as im desperate. Im new to zxr and lerning by books and forum how to put my dream on the road. Many thenks for any awnswer. Ps sorry for my english (yes im f# foreinger) haha

the cam covers are machined along with the camshafts and the cylinder head...so if you want to replace the cover you will need new camshafts and a new cylinder head...

Is it posible to weld that?I got mising piece.

job done!! just learn how to weld aluminium! worst job ever! but i did it. let me know what you think. thanks

looking good, just make sure its secure...you dont want it to break off and float around the engine...
