Hi, Probably a bit early for anyone to know yet, but with the release of the new ZX4-RR, i was wondering about parts compatibility from new engine to old H and L series.
I am currently trying to rebuild my H1 race bike, Parts supply has been frustrating!
I have managed to get what i need, but that has been a world wide affair.
So, with the new bike specs being very close to the H1, will pistons, conrods ect fit? al be it with a skim here and there!
I am trying to get a complete ZX4-rr engine price out of the USA, with the hope of maybe shoe horning that into the H1 Frame.

Re: New ZX4-RR Engine Parts
I would imagine it's 100% incompatible...piston diameter, skirt, pin location etc would all need to be the same/similar...
It can be hard to find compatible pistons across 5 years of a bike, let alone 20+ years...

Re: New ZX4-RR Engine Parts
Could you shoehorn the new engine into a H1 frame...now that's more probable. Would need to port over most of the electrics and sensors as it will be a modern efi bike, but that's probably more doable...though an expensive way to get 5bhp...

As with everything these days, it seems to be all too hard for people to raise a finger! USA reply was not encouraging, explained i wanted a price on a zx4-rr crate engine, reply, What is your Vin number, my response, its to shoe horn into a H1, Can't you grab a vin off a show room bike, Answer, NO!
