Jumping Out Of Gear
Everybody gets the odd false neutral, or sometimes an unclean change from first to 2nd.
But lately i've been noticing a lot of times, especially during overtaking, the bike kept jumping out of gear into neutral.
First i thought it was me being crap, so i started being careful, and it seems that it jumps out of 2nd gear at 8,000rpm or over.
It's fine in every other gear, and in 2nd it pulls fine in gear up to 8000rpm, then *PING* as if by magic it jumps into neutral!!!
It seems to be more a problem with the selector (i have had this apart so maybe i've put it back together and it's a bit out) - but wouldn't it do it in every gear???
Likewise, if teeth were stripped from the cog, then surely it would affect the lower revs when you bear in mind i have Um Plenty Big Torque well below 8k.
Any ideas???

Top Tip try changing your oil to Silkolene 10w40 Ride
Yes the cheaper oil i used to get a lot of false neutral then i changed my oil seems to be okay dont know why but for £10-£15 could be worth trying if it works for you job done if not then at least you have changed the oil
And no i dont work for Silkolene
Hope this does help out
