Slipping clutch ZX7R

Anyone know why my clutch slips under really hard acceleration? The bike hadnt been used for a few years before I had it, and the clutch fluid was black, so i changed that.
Going to do a gerabox oil change, but if the clutch is dead then might as well replace that at the same time.
And anyone know how much a clutch puller thing that holds it stead while you undo the main bolt costs?
Thank you people!

Probably dirty and old, will try a change of oil first. Dont want to pay for new clutch, want to save for carbon fibre stuff!
Thanks for your help

oil all the way mate....and just for your information the clutch on a zx7r is a slipper clutch as standard- it just has been adjusted at the factory for next to no slip!

Yo what, slipper clutch eh? How do your addjust it then?
I changed the oil and filter and it just got worse, so bought some new friction plates and it sorted it out totally. Only £48 (cheeper online but trying to support local bike shop!) and took about 1hr to fit!

just a case of changing the plates to thinner ones as far as I can see....will give it a go when I drop my engine next week.....not much use for a slipper clutch on the road though but, hell its cool!

Fascinating! Dont really need a slipper clutch on a bike with so much torque though? I found more need on the ZXR400 as it used to look when downshifting because it hit such high rpm.
Good stuff on that site, thanks for the link!
