Hi I need to strip down, clean and replaced seals on my rear caliper. Something I just wondered which I thought was worth an ask is do the calipers contain any asbestos to be cautious about?
Thank you

Re: Brake overhaul
as far as i am aware...no
if you are on standard brake pistons they are ceramic, and the brake pad material is a sintered metal/ceramic material, so no asbestos there either...

Re: Brake overhaul
Thank you for the reply. How much brake fluid will the rear caliper system take to fill after emptying? And how much will I need to just replace the fluid in the front without stripping down? I have a bottle of 500ml motul rb600.
