really struggling to find H1/H2 body work now, HC Racetech seems to have stopped doing them except for a solo seat unit road and track units...
will say a Honda VFR/CBR fairing fit? i know its a sin, fitting honda to a kwak ... but if it seems like an option then i may look in to it!
H models - will a CBR400/VFR400 fit?

I doubt it very much. The proportions of the two bikes are very different, plus the fairing mounts probably won't line up. Plus it would refuse to start being dressed in what is essentially drag. And for that I can't blame it

Would common sense not lead you to trying some L bodywork................it will be much closer than any Honda bodywork
Or is that too obvious

honestly, i did look at the L model ... only reason i didnt ask about it is because the H looks much bigger than the L, though the L looks longer - body work that is!
the base of the L models fairing looks like it will hit the headers

Get a grip BigB. I'd rather walk into a gay bar with nothing on apart from a pair of leather chaps and a stetson than ride something that appears to be a Honda.
