Exhaust size question
My L4 has a slip on exhaust so I take it it has had the whole system changed? Im going to need to put a quieter can on for my first track day I measured the pipe where the end can slips on to And it was 8 inches so it measures over 2 inches across is that correct? Is that bigger than normal as it looks massive??

Re: Exhaust size question
i think the micron headers had a 63.5mm outside diameter link pipe, so you might have those?
2.5" is 63.5mm
2.5" is 63.5mm

Re: Exhaust size question
Yea that would make sense as it has a micron end can. Am I going to struggle to find a quieter can to fit then?banner001 wrote:i think the micron headers had a 63.5mm outside diameter link pipe, so you might have those?

Re: Exhaust size question
not necessarily, just need to find an end can with the same diameter, google searching should help.bude-zxr wrote:Yea that would make sense as it has a micron end can. if not find the can you want, find a machinist and get them to make you up and additional link pipe, as its only for a track day it doesnt have to look pretty...be aware that changing anything about your exhaust will mess up your fuelling...

Re: Exhaust size question
i got micron pipes on mine. i got a road legal micron for mot's and i got a one off oval stubby from Fuel for about £160- i dont recon it will pass any track noise limits though. before i got the micron can i made an adaptor which fitteda standard can to the link pipe of the micron so i could pass the mot.
anything is possible with enough time and money. and an open mind...
