I just give mine some Motul and it's happy as pie. i dont see the point in putting expensive oil in a 14 year old bike.

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

I'm going to change mine tomorrow using Fuchs as above. I've never seen the point in using expensive oil before, but given the ZXR doesn't seem to burn any between services I can cope with putting £30 worth of oil (or I guess about 3/5 of £30 worth of oil) in it every 6k miles for a bit more peace of mind.

I was there for about 5 mins to buy a bottle of oil!

Was down in brum pulling apart the engine out of my dad's vw camper to figure out why it was making a knocking sound. Turns out one of the piston skirts had disintegrated and the knocking was the gudgeon pin banging against what was left each time it went up and down.

Compared to that, changing the oil on the bike was a fairly simple exercise!
