having trouble with the ignitech tcip4

okay guys, i just installed the tcip4 for my bike and there is no spark when i try and start it but when i go on the program that came with it unit and select the test button it sparks, the battier is at 12.4v so plenty of juice and seen although it sparks when i test it i'm assuming the wiring is correct. the only thing i am unsure about is that on the program it has highlighted in red Motor off: yes if anyone could help me it would be appreciated
