I brought my ZXR400 afew months ago. It all seemed fine and ran nice until the next day when i road it in to london. It seems when im in traffic or have to stop at traffic lights it doesnt like pulling off again, its like it has no power and crawls along regardless of how much throttle and then cuts out. I have taken it to a mechanic who said i just need to pull off with more throttle. Anyone else have this problem? or know what it could be? Any ideas welcome

Possible Fuelling issue.

Drain the carbs,
Put the fuel tap on reserve and drain the bottom litre out of the tank.
pull and drain the fuel pump.

Try all that and see what happens.

Thank you, ill try anything. is it an easy job as i have no idea about bikes or should i get a mechanic to do it?

If you are confident with a spanner and a couple of screwdrivers then you'll be fine.

If you are the type of person that can't wire a plug, then take it to a garage or ask a biker buddy to help you.
