Crazy South African 88 ZX400G
Howzit guys. Thought I'd put up some pics of my ZX400G I bought the other day. Bit of history. Bought the bike from a kid who wanted to turn it into a 600cc Kawa. Whole bike was stripped down to the bare frame. Not even the harness was in. Motor stripped to bare parts as well. One engine mount missing and no tires. Looks like he had a small accident with it cause the swingarm is bent a bit as well as a custom tailpiece. Fairings are still in one piece.
Please excuse the pics. Cellphone was all I had close
quick pic of the tailpiece. It was shaped to resemble a snakes head
Motor. Halfway assembled. And the rim next to it
Will post some more pics as the build goes. Planning to keep her purple but change the rims and the front forks to a deep gold with a bit of glitter. Any suggegstions will be welcomed.

Motor is finally together
and in the frame
with the exhaust. Need to get the rest of the pipe bent according to the ZX4 cause this is for the ZXR so it touches my fairings.

Stuck into the wiring now. More difficult than I thought. Then fairings, tailpiece and custom taillight then I'm done. Actually hoped to finish last night (Sunday) so that I could ride it to work today. Itching to jump back on a bike. Been too long.

Thanks dude. Unfortunately I'm gonna have to leave the bottom fairings off until I can sort the exhaust. Fairing touches the manifold seeing as its for the zxr.

Bike is still at the shop. Still waiting on feedback from them. Taking too long according to me.
