Re: race can
Hi there welcome to the forum
The standard can should also have three bolts holding it in place, check round where the bolts are and try and find a third, maybe its round the back and you cant see it because the pipe is in the way? If you have any pictures post em up.

Re: race can
well that's quite wierd!
The body of your can is quite definitely standard kawasaki. but the end isnt...
I don't really know what to suggest. Other than pull it apart and try to figure out how it's been modified from standard.

Re: race can
Could it be a false flange on the end of the pipe? am sure that on mine the bolts sit proud where as that looks more flush. my thoughts are that if you undid those 2 bolts you would find that piece falls away and reveals what should be seen. the original flange with 3 bolts that sits in the bottom of the can itself.

Re: race can
Thats right its a false flange, very rare to see them still there actaully, first time ive ever seen a ZXR with one still on it! Ive got one on my 7R which vibrated loose and fell off somewhere, which i expect thats what happens to most of them
All you need to do is unscrew that and the bolts for the can should present themselves
