i thought id cleaned the tank out with the pressure washer. well, i did clean it. im starting to thing i didnt get all the rust out and also the tank seal is leaking. whats the best way to make sure all the rust is out?
i cant rember the name of it but you should really use acid NOT water to clean out the tank as water will rust the inside as acid will strip all the crap out!

check the internal breather from the fuel cap to the rear of the tank is clear, if it isnt then any rain/spray etc that gets on top of the tank will sit under the cap and instead of draining away will seep into the tank... it sucks ..
other than that, new fuel filter, new lines.. should be ok, ...
oh and if you are going to pressure wash the inside of a fuel tank, fill it with boiling water afterwards then immediately empty it and put it somewhere warm (i know there's been no sunshine in the last 6 months but .. hey) this way it will dry out better.. or chuck a few litres of diesel/parafin in there to get the water out before re-fitting..
