fairing and mirrors on the bay?
Been after a new fairing for ages, going to get the seat unit from ams.
Have been looking at these for a while now
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FAIRING-BODYWORK- ... dZViewItem
has anyone bought one, they seem very cheap was wondering about the fit and the quality?
Also need some new mirrors in black. found these on the bay
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kawasaki-ZXR-400- ... dZViewItem
again anyone know if they are ok for quality?
Thank you, Nick.

Not sure about fairings, but after respraying half my fairings in black those mirrors look slightly dubious, they look kinda like theyve been sprayed, fine if thats what you're after and they are cheap but im sure thats not what mine look like, think the 'normal' ones are coloured plastic?

Re: fairing and mirrors on the bay?
i wouldnt touch either tbh .. mirrors look like white plastic ones that have been painted (?)
skidmarx/ard/BB plastics all make good quality fairings in the uk at sensible prices .. and i forget where i got my mirrors from, but they were better than those, not hard to locate and not much more.

Don't touch either of them. Those mirrors look like toad poo. I needed a fairing after my off 2 weeks ago, gave Skidmax a ring and came to a total of 230 notes for the full front end. But let me tell ya, they're well worth the money and aren't made of cheap fibreglass. As for the mirrors, get some from Busters they look almost identical and are quite cheap too.

Cheer's guys,
I may well look at getting complete road fairing from ams.
I was going to, but, i am still not sure on their headlight.
It does look like good value though.
NIck.

Those mirrors are dodgy i gota pair in black from hein gericke for £12.99 each and the stems are powder coated and the mirror backs are matt, on the hein gericke ones the packaging has alist of kwaks they will fit, those flea bay one sure aint new like he's sayin, listen to the collective wisdom and dont go cheap you'll just be dissapointed!I bought a set of fairings from ams last year original resprayed jobbies in 2k mettalic black, including etched carbon fibre tank pad £350 posted, good packing fast delivery and brian even stickered them up free, I took em off as i didn't want decals but you can trust them.

Re: fairing and mirrors on the bay?
yes a picture of your mirrors please!!
I have finally decided not to get the full ams fairing, only the seat and under tray.
Back to fairings, has anyone fitted an ARD fairing, the skidmarx fairing has been recommended, but the ard is much cheaper.
Cheer's Nick.

They do look good.

Those are the mirrors. If you look you can see the stems that come from the base that the mirrors attaches to. There in exaclty the right position but the threads aren't long enough or are too thick. Either of the two I can't quite remember now. I simply hacksaw'd them off then drilled some new wholes, got some suitable nuts and bolds and bobs your uncle.
