Re: New Test Crash
They're asking new riders to flick the bike from side to side at speed?
How is that in any way smart?

I just think they're asking a bit much. They could have just made the test longer out on the road where it countsVard66 wrote:They're asking new riders to flick the bike from side to side at speed?

Re: New Test Crash
Thats ridiculous!
Are we ever gonna get people with brains taking care of these things?
Its not even brains its common sense!
A manouver like that can be dangerous in the best of conditions, let a lone in the wet!

If it's broke spray it with WD40, if it's still broke spray it again and leave it over night, if it's still broke, bin it.

Re: New Test Crash
And i bet you cant sue them for hurting yourself either.
First off no one was ready for the new test and now people are having accidents. I did read somewhere that they were advised that the test wasnt altogether appropriate or safe, yet they still went ahead with it, fucking idiots who think they know better. Of course tho, people get hurt during thier test, is bound to put off others, exactly what the government want??

Re: New Test Crash
Putting aside the fact that swerving violently in the wet is a fucking stupid idea!!
I think they're approaching this all wrong! If they were to teach and drive home more road sense and more road reading ability into new riders and more importantly i think new drivers!!!!!!!!!!! Then in theory they could avoid the need to swerve like that in the first place????
I know i've only been riding a couple of years but i've only ever had to swerve violently once....And it could have been avoided if i had noticed the sillly bitch was gonna pull out on me!!
