have you had a look at the connector blocks up at that end of the loom? Could be a bit of corrosion.

Just checked and it all seems fine. I'll be cleaning up and greasing the connections while its all apart though.

Tested the starter relay, clicks and seems ok. The circuit diagram (chapter 15 page 24) does suggest to me that its the relay in the fuse box I can hold responsible!

Tested the tacho and it seems to be broken but I'll have to double check.

Hi! I'm on the outskirts of newport if someone local could rescue me! lol

So since the forums were down I've fit a new starter switch. The bike then ran fine until it was warm and it would stall. It then wouldn't start without choke or for long at all. Suspected dameged coils, so I've fit new coils and leads.

With the coils it runs a lot better and will stay running whilst warm but still stalls when coming off the throttle sometimes if I don't keep the revs up. If it does stall it needs a little choke to start again. I made it around the block but cut out twice.

Any ideas? Still :smt017

How and where should I check, test, repair etc if it's running lean.

I've just tried changing the fuel filter and thought it had sorted it, the bike ran without fault for 5 mins and the fan kicked in for a minute. It then died all of a sudden and the battery is flat. I've put a multi meter on the battery whilst its running and the battery is no longer charging and shows around 11.8v?? Is the new regulator fecked!? I'm pulling my hair out now :smt013

have you checked the connector block for the reg/rec? and are you still using the old battery or the new one?
Have you got an alarm on the bike?

I've just put up a new post viewtopic.php?f=7&t=7139 with a list of all the new bits I've put on and it's current problems.
