sooo rubber on rims and balanced today. That rear wheel on the gsxr is an absolute bitch to get back on! Took me about an hour of swearing before i managed with the help of my old man
but it's on now and looks good i think. Pads removed and cleaned and then whacked the brakes back on too.
Starting to come together now, just need to rig the carbs up correctly which is what i'll be doing tomorrow
Got a 'yoshimura' exhaust heat proof sticker to go on my carbon can too (despite the fact its not a yoshimura can shhhhh!

)

no, it wont run above about 2k atm, carbs are spotlessly clean and have had all o-rings replaced, float valves right height, pretty sure theres no fuelling issues, AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH this is doin my head in what have i missed!??

no no real difference, im gna have a crack at it again tomorrow, try them a bit lower
the rubber manifold conecting carbs to engine looks pretty well worn so that could be the preoblem, letting in excess air maybe?

another thing to try is disconnect the fuel pipe from the carbs and turn the engine over and see if its pumping ok

yeah, but was using a mickey mouse little ruler so prob not the most accurate tool, will whip out some Vernier calipers tomorrow
another thing to try is disconnect the fuel pipe from the carbs and turn the engine over and see if its pumping ok
gsxr400's are simply gravity fed, with a vacuum being created when it senses the engine is on, pretty simple fueling so dont think tahts an issue
