Hello all!
Im really not sure where this thread should go so considering its going to become a project, i thought id post it in the project section
Anyways... My friend is getting rid of a zxr 400 H1 1989 model. It runs sweet, no knocking noises from engine ect ect. Although it needs new downpipes, new rad as this one is corroded badly. Maybe new chain and sprocket set. And the fairings need some serious surgery! Both tyres look new. brakes are fine. And the fork seals need changing.
He asking 200 quid for it.. Is this a good price? LEt me know your thoughts please
Cheers, michael.
Sound like a good project!!!! tell me your thoughts...

Offer him £150 and have it in cash folding money in your pocket give him a look at..................................
Sounds good to me...........but remember a project like that will cost a fair bit to get it looking good again..............but once done it will be all the more valuable to YOU

I bought 2 "good" engines last year .. each one cost more than that .. each one needed a topend rebuild before it was worth fitting in a bike ..
given the above ..
your prospective purchase sounds like a bargain

you could break it for parts and make more than the £200 if it all goes belly up
These things are sent to try us!!
