Hi everyone,

Been doing some brake work on friends bike and some of the pots are in need of replacing. After looking at replacment pots i've noticed that some have a ceramic cores and others don't.

I've asked about at dealers and so on but noone can give me a difinite answer.

So my Q is whats the difference and does it have an impact.

I've measured the heights and they are the same.

I'm sure someone on here will have the answer. cheers.

Something to do with heat transfer I would suspect

Yer thats one of the answer i got. but then the argument is which is best at keeping the heat out of the brake fluid. either an air gap or a ceramic filling and does it even make a difference.... much tea was drunk.

anyway went with after-market non ceramic pots.

will do some sort test and see how they get on.

cheers again.

So far as brakes go I'd have genuine Kawasaki every time.
