Hi guys new to the site in need of a little advice....... had my zxr 400 h1for over 5 years with no problems. Well the usual probs winter starts she a bitch. but most of the time shes fine. Anyway had her off the road for a year and ive just put her bk on the road for less than a week....

1st start up left it running for 30mins. then took her out for a run.

used the bike for work for 3 days then last sunday went Down the bypass when i looked at the clocks she was doing a fair bit then BANG. lost power!!! coolant all over back wheel with oil. still ran. Got home took all the fairings off and theres oil everywhere, def two gaskets gone. tried starting it, the poor thing started but shes knocking and sounds really rough.

Right so to the point -ENGINES, will any other ZXR engine fit in an h1 frame?
If not then strip down it is.....

A zx6 engine might fit with a bit of help

There was once on this very forum a ZXR400 with a Fireblade engine......................he used it to frighten old people and children LOL
