Hi there all,

Just had to strip the carbs on my H track bike as stood idle for 2 years and it was completely gummed up and would not run.
I have stripped them and cleaned them out but now I have no idea how many turns I should set the air screw back to,
no i did not count them when I took them out DOOOHH.
Any one got any ideas how many turns from full in I should take them out to as a rough guide ??

Cheers

The answer is here somewhere on the fourm, memory tells me its either 1.5 turns or or 2.5 out. What does the manual say?

Ah Rob the same old story I should have RTFM it's all there in black and white 2 1/4 turns out.

Thanks for making my brain realize I should have used it first and asked questions later ! :smt002

Cheers

id try 2.5 like you say, then see what it idles like. Mine, i have to have em out about 4 turns!.. which means i should really go up a size or 2 on the pilot jets.
just unscrew them in half turns, untill the revs drop sharp to a neat idle, if they hang up there before dropping, unscrew...dunno how it behaves if its to rich? probs stalls
