pipercross air fillter
hey all managed to get a pipercross air filter for my zxr 400 l9 took a bit of a gamble thinking it would fit my 1999 model because it said in the catalog up to 98 surely they didnt make that many changes to the air box in the last year ? and was wondering where it fits thats all its a flat sponge type with mesh grilling on one side quite wide as well.iam thinking it goes above the intakes so the hole air box and tank have to come off ?

Re: pipercross air fillter
you have to take the air box off then split it (about 9 screws iirc all the way around the box) you've then get a soft fome filter and a metal grill inside there
they didnt change the air box on any of the L bikes, but it is very diffrent to the H

Re: pipercross air fillter
the H model had a flat panel filter & the L model had a small box shape filter.

I know yea im sure they will refund cos its there fault for not listing it properly, unless an H airbox will fetch more than in L when advertised properly
