Hmm long subject mate

Normally with Ram air fitted we all blocked off the main air jet correctors and fitted around 110 main jet
which setteled the idle down but with succes on the road race bike as well with running all standard needles

You might want to speak to people that know more on this

Dynotech or hodson engineering would be a good start its hard when you have made things and not bought race air boxes etc
you wouldnt go wrong by letting some one else set the bike up on a dyno

Good luck

Will have to wait or ask Ballsout for Dynotech's number sorry dont know the number but could get it if needed but both companys very good at the zxr 400

thanks for the advice the bike is running quite nice to be honest idle is smooth and mid range is good right upto 11k then you can hear it start to struggle like its not gettin enough juice even worse in top gear so its definatly the mains will try 110 and see.
sounds a good size to me will try and maybe buy size up and below aswell if there not to pricy and if all else fail dyno it will have to be.
ive got some 124 s in the shed but think that will send it the other way!!!

Without blocking off the main air correctors many moons ago with ram air standard trumpets i run 136main jet

But without doing a dyno run mate you could be losing nearly 5-6bhp and you could also run lean or rich causing damage to the engine unless you do a plug chop down the motorway then pull in a lay by and strip the whole bike down stick to a dyno run easer :smt003

Good luck
