hey peeps, my little bitch of a zxr is starting to burn oil have any of you guys heard of piston rings going on them and is it common! :smt013
U wish ur car looked as good as my bike dnt u!

Some older bikes just burn oil - there's nothing wrong with them, so to speak - or at least nothing that warrents fixing!

Personally, mine never burnt any oil, and the only time it dripped some was after the rebore... and that turned out to be a loose sump plug that TTS obviously hadn't bothered to tighten. :smt013

Its quite normal for engines to burn oil, but obviously not to the point where its belching smoke out the exhaust. My 7R burns it ever so slightly but the engine is sweet as a nut and doesnt smoke as far as i aware. Not a common problem for the ZXR but what are the symtoms?

well it has burnt about 3 quarters of a litre in 2 months which to me dunt sound normal however there is no oil or white smoke coming out of the pipe.
U wish ur car looked as good as my bike dnt u!

That doesnt really say very much. How many miles have you done?
