It is only pinched on with one bolt in the picture. It’s off a 2001/2002 zx6r/636

bike looks much nicer now that you've got the rear end on again!

You can get adpters that go onto a slip on type link pipe that converts into a 3 point bolt mount. Could get one of them saw the standard 3 bolt mount off then fit the adpter.

Yeah i think the bike looks better with the back end on and the ninja sticker removed.
I like the sound of that adapter cos i would like to keep it and if i do IT will be cut in half i don't like big end cans the smaller the better.
I would really like one like this mini gp can £165 on eBay custom made

Master,

MAKE YOUR OWN STUBBY

Complete novice in this area, I have a damaged stainless Scorpion end can, that I may be able to make into a stubby, details are....

The riveted band where can attaches to pipe has lost a rivet, inturn the join in the stainless has split (split @7mm, so the can blows like a pig.

Basically can this end of the can be chopped, the 3 stud connection removed and rejoined to the now shorter pipe?

If so, other than a hacksaw and rivet gun, what else would I need?

How much can the can be reduced in length, considering I am using standard hanger?

I will repeat I am a complete novice, however I have put the standard zorst back on and the scorpion can is currently scrap, so no loss if I screw this right up!

Thanks

Rob.

get yourself a nice big jubilee clip to fit round the can before cutting so you will get a nice clean line that will match up all round., drill them rivets out and remove the flange, bear in mind you will need to cut through the baffle and the padding inside, its best if you can strip the can down completely before cutting it so you know what you've got.

post a pic mate so i can see the split.

other things you'll need, new padding, rivets, jubilee clip,
