whats it worth

Post by cargo »

I've just been offered a 2003 ZXR400 for £2200................not certain of the exact model but it could well be L9

It looks very clean with decent cosmetics taxed and MOT'd untill Sept

good price ?

yeah that'll be the L9. What sort of mileage has it done?

sounds pricey but probably worth it if its got good history.

thats more like it. How the hell does he expect to get £2200 for a zxr with a ruined motor? You can buy perfect ZXR's for that money.

Tell me about it

It definatly needs a set of crankcases.................£822 plus delivery from Cradely

I've just had mail from him.............
Say he has a buyer.....................

And I might get the repair job................

It'll cost him a grand to fix using second hand parts............and thats me doing it cheap LOL

true, but if you used nothing other than the cases it would still be cheaper than the £800 odd you quoted.

wouldnt even pay a grand for that. youve lost one hell of margin on breaking it. and the engines not even worth chucking that much money into repair, thrown a rod? weigh it in as scrap, definatly worth more that way.

can you ask him if i can get the number for his buyer? i've got a mountain bike missing an engine for a tasty 2k, at least he can use the pedals.

The trouble with having an open mind, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.
