Hi all,
What do you recon mines worth?
It's a 1995 L4 ZXR400 in green/blue/white. Its MOT'd till July 26th and TAX'd till May. 37,000 miles
It's recently had a spring clean including clean out of the carbs, suspension and had a 8000 mile engine into it (did a small re-build at the time using stainless bolts where I could). The engine had a camchain, headgasket and cam tensioner whilst it was on the bench (I dont trust anyone so thought I'd take the safe route). It also has beet engine casings and was sold to me with believed BEET camshafts (I don't know if this is true so assume not). It's also had a recent service and will have a service again before I let it go (oil, filter and coolant done over winter, will replace oil and filter)
The tyres are both nearly new with little over 1000 miles on each (new when I brought it), It's got a Metzler M3 on the back and a Pirelli on the front I think, I'll have to check. It's got plenty of meat left on the pads front and back and the fork oil seals are spot on with no leaks. The forks have NO pitting what-so-ever but do have a little scuffing around the pinch bolts. Recently had all dash-board bulbs replaced. It also has a Micron full system on it (slight scuff on the can asif it's touched down under excessive lean) which I believe the carbs have been jetted for (after the carb clean completely transformed the bike), it pulls cleanly in all gears and doesn't pop out of any.
There is a small mark on the right spar of the frame where the frame bends, the frame isnt bent or dented just a bit of road rash (happened before I brought the bike). There is also small grazes on the bodywork especially on the right hand side where it fell off the ABBA stand in the garage, it broke the wing mirror as-well so they have been replaced. It has black crash bungs as-well, these are un-used and fitted when I brought the bike, it also has a Powerbronze light tint double bubble which makes alot of difference at motorway speeds. When I brought it it did not have pillion footpegs, but I have put them on and also fitted an official Kawasaki grab rail which makes pillion carrying ALOT easier. It did have an alarm fitted but caused too much annoyance and therefore has been removed, the reminance of the wiring was left behind allowing another alarm to be fitted easily if required.
It had a new battery in February and has been kept on an optimiser since. It has good chain and sprockets.
The bike has only seen the rain twice since I've had it, both because I was caught in it rather than heading out in it. I've looked after her but get the feeling that an SV650 will suit my riding style better (you'll see the chicken strips on these tyres when you view...). I have a set of 33BHP restrictors for the zxr also and if required will be fitted. I also have a spare cam-chain tensioner and cush-drive rubber. It did have hot starting problems but found that with recent carb service the hot start problem has disappeared.
I will also include in the sale the original engine. The original engine ate it's camshafts and followers and will be included in the sale with new rockers, all it needs is camshafts and a small oil supply block from inside the head to get running again, the oil supply is £25 from Cradleys and second hand camshafts go on ebay for about £50-80 a pair, the cams in it aren't BAD but do have minor scoring where the hardening has been removed.
On a quick round up the bike is in fair condition, engine wise it's spot on with having a 8000mile engine just having been fitted, asthetically it's in fair condition, it has bodywork damage to both the main fairings (no cracks, just grazes) and a crack in the front fairing on the right hand side. It rides fine and has had ALOT of time and money spent on it since I've owned it (see eBay auction 270215538894 for the engine).
Other than the bodywork this is a MINT ZXR and with a little TLC could look amazing. Pictures aren't available atm but if you have really good vision it's the pic in my avitar.
Many Thanks

Re: Whats it worth?
I've advertised it in MCN at £1400ono.. it's going in the forsale section.. but for more advertising... i'll get some nice pics in here aswell..
Have no fear about the panel gap in the first two pictures between the nose fairing and the main fairing, I couldnt find one of the bolts that goes in there after adjusting the clutch cable earlier.
cheers
