finally popped a good un on my L1

Post by markzxr400l3 »

Who said its difficult to wheelie one of these??? Its easy as long as you are prepared to toad yourself LOL.

Technique...
Rev tits off bike, lean back, 'ping' clutch, soil trousers, nearly go over backwards, have brief 1.5 seconds of sublime balance, run out of revs, drop a tad heavily.

Repeat till fade. LOL.

Kudos, that's a good angle and a smashing photo!

I'm gonna go have a bit of a go at dipping the clutch to lift the wheel a tiny bit, like that MCN video demonstrates.
Wish me luck...
Vard.

That's going to become a classic ZXR400 picture! Nice one!

It's much easier if you've got the 444cc rebore - but I'm not a wheelier so never learned to show it off...
Who needs tyres when you've got knees!!

Thanks for the comments dudes, appreciate it.

Yeah LOL I do find the easiest way to wheelie the ZXR is to park it in my garage and take the VFR instead!! Then you can just give it a little snap of the throttle at 4k and bobs your fanny and uncles yer aunt. See illustration below.

For my next trick I'm going to try to mono my recently restored VF750 Sabre with its Looooooooooooooooo,......ooooooo......oooooooo....ng wheelbase. Wish me luck LOL

BTW 86 about the 'how many revs'... I think I used all of them!!! I really screamed the tits off it.
