Surface "Redressing"

Post by wonderpupp »

Coming home from gp yesterday along A35 from lyndhurst, get to holmsley, and it's 10mph skid risk all the way.

Surface redressing - fucking lethal layer of loose gravel, if you ask me.

I didn't fall off my bike, but it did feel just like when I was riding in the snow earlier this year. No grip, all wishy-washy and generally unpleasant.

And the chips kicked up from passing cars and the vehicles in front didn't help at all. I'm so pissed off about the stone chips!! Not Necessary!!

You know when you're about 10 mins from home, and you're like "yeah, nearly home" then this, and it's 10mph where you'd normally be doing 60, along what used to be one of my favourite stretches of road.

It's nothing more than a fucking loose mess now. I'll miss it out and just use the B roads till next summer, I guess...

I feel sorry for all the bikers who come down to Poole Quay on a tuesday - it's normally a really good road to go on!

they "resurfaced" the back road i take to work about a year ago (had the TLR for about 3 months..) and it was truely deadly. It was like riding 120bhp off road just span the back wheel everywhere, had quite a few oh crap moments.

Why cant they just drive a roller across it insted of leaving lose stones everywhere? After a year the surface is actually worse than when they started, all the same pot holes but now theres lose stones everywhere as well. Should be illegal.
