I very nearly had a nasty crash on the IOM after two of the bolts holding the oil cooler pipes onto the sump came loose and dumped all the oil out..........
Only for my foot slipping off the peg and drawing my attention to it I'd have been into a very fast corner with enough oil on my tyres to send me into a wall.
Top tip......................................... lock wire em
As it turned out I did fall off but only at slow speed as I tried to turn off the track
oil cooler bolts...........worth reading if you race

Wow, I haven't heard of that happening before ! Very Very lucky to not have a huge mishap. I have had the gearbox output shaft oil seal (sits behind the primary sprocket) pop out at Donington and this blew oil all over the rear tyre, as I turned into the foggy esses the bike highsided so fast I swear I was riding backwards for a second. Lucky it was in the slowest corner! I spoke to Roger Middleton (RMKD) and they had this happen too - Now Roger makes a carbon cover which keeps the seal captive.
I will probably loctite my oil pipe bolts too, just a "££%£^£%^*&^* to get to them without taking the headers off...
