does any one know the book value of a zxr 400 l1
FAST ENOUGH TO GET IN TROUBLE WITH THE LAW NOT FAST ENOUGH TO GET AWAY

No idea of what "book values" are in the UK but really they are only a guide.

At the end of the day it's what your prepared to pay or sell for that counts.

If I found a bike with 10 miles on the clock in factory condition and it was 17yrs old I would pay handsome for it but I bet the book value would be "sweety" money on it.

There's an H1 in my local shop with a tag of 238,000 Yen on it and it's not pretty by a long drop down the ugly tree shocking

That's about £1,600 and still needs a wedge spent on it !
Nothing worse than having an H and not being able to scratch it !

But the earliest they go is the L1 and i think the pricing is a bit low IMO

ZXR 400 have reached classic /cult status now and so "book value" is not relevant

It's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it
