No idea of what "book values" are in the UK but really they are only a guide.

At the end of the day it's what your prepared to pay or sell for that counts.

If I found a bike with 10 miles on the clock in factory condition and it was 17yrs old I would pay handsome for it but I bet the book value would be "sweety" money on it.

There's an H1 in my local shop with a tag of 238,000 Yen on it and it's not pretty by a long drop down the ugly tree

That's about £1,600 and still needs a wedge spent on it !

It's worth what someone is prepared to pay for it
