It depends what you want it for?
If you want something to use ever day to get your knee down and be good on long journeys as well, and that NEVER breaks down, then get an early VFR750 (1990-96) with plenty left over to sort the suspension and stuff. Or get two!
If you want all of that but the power to go past a flat-out early Fireblade as if it's stood still, then get a ZX9R (any model but preferably C or later).
Fireblades would be slightly better on track, but then for £2500 you'll be stupid to pass up an R1, but it won't be as 'sensible' on the roads as a 9r or a VFR.
SRAD GSXR's are GSXR's. So it's fine if you want corrosion and grief. I've just never liked them...
