.....how does it go on giving me smiles and smiles. Of late, due to money problems ive been thinking of selling the ZXR to raise some funds for a few extras for the versys and to clear a few bills. Plus, it was starting to look horendous due to its last clean being sometime last year, which in your mind never really makes you go 'ooooh' when you look at it.
Anyway, at the weekend i bought some muc-off bike cleaner and gave the ZXR a quick wash, and my god what a difference a half decent clean makes. I also went about taking out the baffle. So not only did it look better, it also sounded better too!!! Couple that with the decent weather and things are starting to make alot of sense now as to why i keep it and why it makes me smile everytime. It looks good, it sounds good, it handles fucking brilliantly, and sat in my garden with its shiney gold wheels makes me wanna ride it.
I think im starting to appreciate it more now ive got another bike, because the last 18 months its been used for nothing but to and fro work, having got the versys and having a bit of time away from it has really refuelled my enthusiasm for riding it now, not because the Versys is crap and the ZXR is good. Its becuase they have thier own merits, and its these merits that compliment each other.
So on my way home from work today, i was sat along the A14 doing about 70 and inside thinking, 'god this is good, it really doesnt get much better'.
Amen.
How does this bike do it.....

I know what you meant mate. Sometimes a bit of time away from the bike does wonders, 'cos when you get back on it, it's like the first time you rode it all over again.
