How easy it is for your bike to get nicked

Post by rickyt28 »

Watch this vid, its in New York, its near the end of the vid when the action happens.

Its pretty shocking how quick and easy its done... I watched the timer and it takes them 20seconds from the moment they grab the bike, to the moment they drive away.

A chain is only as good as the ground fixing it's attached to...................and the only ground fixing you can be certain of is the one you have at home.....................

Very true.

the torc-anchors ground anchor is one of the highest rated ground anchors (when properly installed obv)

Some tips I should put up for people who don't know.

Keep your bike covered up when it's at your house if you store it outside.

Never secure the bike by the front wheel, it's a doddle to remove.

Always leave the chain and lock off the floor..

Add an extra disc-lock.

Secure to non-movable hard to cut obects like lamp-posts, motorcycle racks. not thin railings.

Or if you can't lock it to anything solid get some concrete or postcrete and fill a bucket with it, putting your anchor and a few choicely welded iron bars through it for added strength.
Who needs tyres when you've got knees!!
