Re: How Many Revs Do You Use?
It will set off quite happily at low revs provided you slip the clutch in and accelerate away. I don't know what the revs are, I'm not looking at the rev counter when I'm moving off, I'm watching the road. You just ride on engine note. I suppose its 3-4k, dunno really. If it's almost stalling either you've got a fuelling problem, the carbs want balancing or you're dumping the clutch in. If you really want to shift off the line you need to give it a lot more and keep the clutch slipping. Yes it will scream - they all do that sir. Depends whether you've a point to prove or are just riding normally. Ordinarily I just move off in traffic gently - saves the clutch. If I really need to get to the front of the queue, say I'm in the wrong lane at lights, then it will really shift if required.
