you say that but a fella i know had a CBF for 8 months while the insurance sorted it out (wonder why we all pay so much..)

I don't think any hire company charges less than £60 per day for a bike - and it could be as much as £80 per day for that!!!

cant rember the ins and outs but i think the other bloke draged it out some how.

Another bloke got pulled out on and he had a rented bike for over a month easly.

I've got two witnesses who were in the traffic queue and saw what happened - unfortunately the blokes who got out of the white van and spoke to him I don't have...

On the forms I have to fill in it asks if I really need the hire vehicle, and asks if it's possible to borrow a vehicle from close family rather than hire one - as said because you're obligated to keep the costs down!

It's my only vehicle and my only viable alternative is taxi's to and from work, so they did it straight away!

The engine is very smooth all the way through the range, and the gear change is excellent!

But the clutch and throttle response after a big 750 V4 is -ing horrible!

I kind-of enjoy the engine note in a nostalgic way (it makes me think of the ZXR400 strangely enough!), but I'd never buy one myself.

Oh, and it's proving my theory that unfaired, upright bikes are -ing COLD in the Winter! I've been wearing my Summer race gloves and leathers with just a lining in the jacket up until now - but I'm thinking about putting warmer kit on after today!

got to admit i always wear my full textiles with all 3 layers in when on the CRM as you do get cold alot quicker. Do love the riding position after riding sports bikes for hte last 3 years tho, can see more of whats going and just far more comfitable

I don't find it comfortable at all. I much prefer the sportsbike position, because there's less weight compacting your spine, and you're not fighting against the wind-flow.

Bumps really -ing hurt when you've damaged your ribs, too!

bumps? what are these? crm just glideds over everything you can throw at it :P

the VFR's are hardly the sportiest of postions tho are they, its more of a combination of the 2 making it very nice

That's the thing though - I found my ZXR400 more comfortable than the VFR! :smt003

For me, the more 'comfortable' a bike is supposed to be, means the more painful it actually is on a really long journey!

Sure, for a 60 min blast, something with a big padded seat and more upright position could be called 'more comfortable', but ride it for over 3 hours and see what you think then!

I think maybe it's because a more focused riding position err... focuses your attention more on actually riding the bike, and makes you more involved in it, rather than worrying about how your piles are holding up!
