Taking video on a bike

I want to take some video on my bike, but don't know what to use. I found this, but I'm not sure how safe it will be. Also found this, but i don't know what will fit.

I also considered bullet cams, but quality may be an issue, as well as sound, buying a recorder etc. May as well use my existing DV camera and mount it safely.

Any suggestions gratefully appreciated

I wouldn't trust the suction thingy... the second link looks good. I'm just looking through Ballsout's link now and they look good.

Personally I used my camera and taped it to the dashboard plus a bit of foam. Great pics but needs a bit of patience to adjust properly.... This is after some serious editing because more than half the screen was filled with road after it slipped!

I keep meaning to have a look at the setups they use at trackdays for onboard cams...

yeah I'm dubious over the suction thing. My sat nav has fallen off my windscreen plenty of times so don't fancy losing a camcorder at xxx mph, would feel sorry for whoever was behind! May look into the second mount as I don't want to go down the bullet cam route. I have a camcorder but it has no aux input and don't want/need to be buying other recording gear.

It's the safest route for quality of footage.

There are so many rip-off bullet cams around it's a right minefield! You have to make sure you get the right specs to do the job you need it for otherwise you can waste hundreds very easily.

I have a GoPro Hero. Works really well! The "suction thing" has been well over 150 on bumpy roads stuck onto the screen and didnt move at all, i honestly think i could hang myself from it!
