Ignition coil question

Post by Chris1984 »

In the manual it shows the the left ignition coil should be feeding spark plugs 2+3 and the right 1+4 is this important that they are this way as i've just noticed mine are not this way round.

If the bike is running then NO

but

Normally YES

It's all down to the valve timing / ignition timing. If it had been set 360' out then swapping the electrical leads between the coils cures the problem or swapping the coils - I'd go leads personally as a lot quicker to do :smt002

Do they have after market HT leads fitted ? Although if the originals weren't numbered you could still make them fit running the #1 lead to #4
