Wont be venturing out of my flat today

But this is just another reason why i dont see the point in road tax.
They cant maintain the roads and they dont prepare for weather like this, hence why the country has run out of grit.

you should try the potholes too, they have come up everywhere round here!

Talking of grit, the council round here (ipswich) knew for a good week we were getting a f*** load of snow coming. Woke up 1am look out the window and the road was simply snow, no sign of any gritting at all. And just to get it home how bad it was, a gritter doing the motorway ended up in the central reservation on the A14, a 2nd gritter came to tug it out and also ended up in the central reservation. 3rd gritter was needed to free the other two. We also have a bridge that crosses the river Orwell, people were stuck on it for 10 hours while the police tried to clear up a lorry accident, when they did clear it the queuing lorries had no traction to get over the bridge (its a very large humped bridge).

No decent pics im afraid, but supposed to get some snow tonight.......

Here's the best view I had! After everyone else had fkd off in a panic and all the roads were gridlocked, The Pasty King drove into the carpark as usual and I got a nice hot and freshly made Full English Breakfast pasty! :smt003

Hi,

You think thats bad, Hemel Hempstead is under 7" of snow and I rode my bike 4.9 miles to work last night in it :smt003
Gonna be doing it again tonight as I can't afford to lose money so i have no choice really. Great fun drifting, wheel spinning, skidding etc... total laugh I just had to entertain myself. :smt003 If you do decide to risk it on 2 wheels, I advise riding 1 with a very low center of gravity I.E. cruisers.

Went out on scooter, 4bhp spinning sideways up the side streets where its still mega thick with snow. Then went sledging on old skateboards:

Not much snow, but enough for my little dog to get excited about snowballs.
No pics yet, I can't find my card converter to put the pics on my pc.

Set your ISO to a highish setting - 200
F stop down around 2.8 with a 1/5th shutter speed
If you don't have a white balance setting for snow, best set it to manual and set it yourself or set to sunny if no other option.

A lot of glare off snow so you don't need much exposure, even reducing your EV exposure will help

MM!

BTW, we did have a covering of frost on the car this morning but was 13'c by mid day :smt001
