Just pulled out of a junction and the tyre just went from underneath me, it was a mix of some sandy stuff on the road, a 110 mile old tyre and maybe a few too many revs . My first time falling off a motorbike after 14 months of riding, there was no traffic coming luckily and a few nice people kept asking me if i was ok, they said it looked bad but i felt fine.
The crash bungs done a great job, lost my left mirror, few scratches and the clutch lever is bent but still managed to ride the 2 miles home. I'll take it as a learning experience, it was a very surreal moment.
Take care out there guys.

Unlucky! Hope you get it all sorted out, and I'd advise getting a few beers in because you WILL feel it once the adrenaline's gone!
I think a lot of people are going to get caught out with this kind of thing this year. A lot of my riding mates are frothing at the bit to get rides organised but it's still really -ing cold out there, with loads of loose gravel and crap on the roads and 'comedy surprise' potholes and even ice still...
If you ask me we should all still be in survival mode at the moment, for the most part...
