Saturday
so im riding back from my moms house on saturday afternoon and the bike starts playing up.
i kill the lights and all is good, until i hit the brakes and it starts doing it again.
I manage to nurse it home with out brakes, indicators or lights.
Get in the garage and look at the loom.
The main live wire which joins 1 > 3 had corroded and snapped
Sunday
So the loom comes out and get a complete over haul and clean up.
I put everything back together, just in time to head out with the lads for a ride
Chk the indicators..... not working.....
shitburgers were the order of the day it seems
Monday
Plastics off, air box off, switch gear checked, fuses checked, cdi checked, junction box swapped for a spare, cdi swapped out for a spare.
all relays and switches replaced for the spares i have, each and every wire tested with a multi meter, and everything shows as ok.
But the indicators are still not working :smt013 :smt013 :smt013
im stumped. getting well fed up and that sinking feeling is happening.
the one where you might have to phone a professional to come look, but u are ashamed cos your bike is in pieces all over the garage.
5pm, its getting dark and i dont want to spend another day pissing about with this
im starting to consider phoning up the local mobile bike mech to have a look.
one last thing popped into my mind before i picked up the fone.
i turned the flasher unit around.
WHO'S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO MAKE A 3PIN PLUG FOR A 2 PIN FLASHER UNIT????!!!!!!!!
that is all, move along, nothing to see here, thanks for reading, dedicated to my missus for putting up with my bad mood.
