Been told off

Post by CaNsA »

Admittedly there atleast 5 bikes outside my flat/garage most of the time.

My response was

with regards to the letter, there are several points that i would like to convey back to the originator.

1. all our bikes are 100% legal with respect to the legal noise limits
2. bikes rev when the choke is on, this minimizes the risk of a bike seizing up if ridden when cold.
3. if the originator is willing to pay for the damage to my engine that will be caused by not warming up correctly then by all means i will gladly destroy the engine.
4. our bikes only make more noise than a car when we are travelling at high speeds.
5. no-one is stupid enough to accelerate quickly while on my road, or the other Road, as there is not a lot of space and could cause a fatal accident.

Spot-on reply and exactly what I'd have said!

If they're willing to pay for any damage which could be contributed to cold starting issues, then that's fine! :smt002

In my view if it's within reasonable hours, i.e. 8am - 11pm then they can go shove their head up a dead badgers butt.

I think he'd get less complaints, after the first morning anyone in 2 mile radius would be deaf!!

I live in a block of low level flats and we have caretakers assigned every 6 months for doing maintenance work etc...

After fitting up a new system on the bike I fire's it up and lets it warm up then gives it some mild hand fulls to hear it :smt001

Back in flat a phone call from a caretaker saying they had a complaint about me reving the bike :smt013

Back out , end can off and dial rev's in at 10K and hold :smt003

Never had a complaint since as they now know what loud is :smt005

Got a complaint 3~4 years ago about playing music loud through the day - they got taught a very similar lesson :smt020 biggrin
