MOVING TO PETERBOROUGH!

Post by gavinfdavies »

In bout 13 hours i'll be taking hold of the keys to a lovely garage in Yaxley, on the edge of Peterborough. It's got power, lighting, carpet, an arm chair, massive work bench, a good selection of tools, a laptop holding about 20gb of music and audio books (I can work on the bike whilst listening to Terry Pratchett!) , and kettle. I'm planning on building a home made ramp for my bike (because I can't afford a lift), and getting a small lathe and milling machine so I can build my own parts, but they'll have to wait until i've got money!

Oh, and in the garden it has a large 3 bed semi where I'm gonna keep the missus. :pmsl

So... Any one live round peterbourough, and fancy an inaugural ride out?
I do 700 miles a week in all weathers including snow, that's roughly 35,000 miles a year, and some weekend warrior biker has the nerve to get out of his Audi at work to tell me to I was riding far too fast in the wet (over taking at 50... fast eh?).

Sounds awesome!

I've never thought of listening to audio books whilst working on the bike, but that's a damned good idea, too! My most memorable workshop session was the two days spent swapping engines in my old B1 9r whilst Glastonbury was on the radio. Bloody marvellous - especially with a few cans of Hobgoblin added to the mix! :smt003
Who needs tyres when you've got knees!!

"What's wrong lager-boy? Afraid you might taste something?" quality slogan. Personal I prefere to run my bike on petrol though.

I enjoy the books, they keep my mind busy while my hands get on with the job. I find if you think too much you'll cock it up!
