Everything needs to be changed, and it's a huge job!

But it can and has been done using a Fireblade engine and, I believe, a ZX6-R engine, too... :smt002

Lucys zxr400 had a zx6r engine in it, its been done a few times now, see here http://zxrworld.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2801 & you could get in touch with Lucy and ask who did the conversion as i believe she has the engineers report etc.

I shoudl imagine it would be a right giraffe getting a V4 into a frame made for an inline 4...

Brilliant if it would work though - the best reliability and ZXR400 handling!

I'd be up for one of them!!!

true, configuration is different, but at least it's got to be pretty narrow - the bigger inline fours seem to be a very tight fit between the frame rails.

obv you'd have to think very hard before you did it, but I bet it's possible.

Why would you infect a Kawasaki with a dirty Honda engine? :smt016

see I thought that, then thought "f*** it, it'd be fun!"

and it is a pretty awesome engine.

I've owned three VFR750's so far, and my current one which fronted a pack of pschos (friends) riding a Fireblade, SP-2, CBR600RR and R6 last Wednesday has done....

105,000 miles!!! :smt003

And of those 3 I've owned I have NEVER had to touch the engines!

I loved the ZXR to bits - but in the 3 years I owned that I had to work pretty damn hard to keep the thing running and on the road!

So I can't really think of a much better engine to slot in and forget about...
